Benton County is constructing a 2,000-square-foot building to serve as a maintenance shop and office at the county administrative complex near the justice center in Kennewick.

The project is valued at $1.5 million.

MMEC Architecture & Interiors is the designer. Banlin Construction is the contractor.

Three Rivers Convention Center Expansion (Update)

As promised, the $71.5 million expansion of the Three Rivers Convention Center is a lot more visible after workers began forming walls and the physical structure for the 115,000-square-foot addition.

The Kennewick Public Facilities District is leading the project, conceived to both update the existing convention complex and make it more competitive with Seattle, Portland and Spokane for meetings, conventions and sports tournaments.

Lydig Construction, the same firm that built the original building more than 20 years ago, is building the addition, which includes a metal frame and concrete walls.

Miramar Clinic Dental Expansion (Update)

A contractor is framing a new dental training facility near the Miramar Health Center in Kennewick.

The $12.2 million building is being developed by Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic and Pacific Northwest University. It is one of three in Washington that will serve PNWU’s new School of Dental Medicine.

Chervenell Construction is the contractor for the 18,000-square-foot, two-story building.

The first construction permits have been issued for a 58-unit apartment complex on Zintel Way near Canyon Lakes.

The project will feature five three-story buildings.

Devi Holdings LLC is the owner. Elite Construction and Development is the contractor.

Columbia Basin College Housing (Update)

Columbia Basin College’s newest student housing project has reached its full height at the southwest corner of Argent Road and 20th Avenue.

The $28 million project, called “Polaris,” will house up to 160 students when it opens in fall 2026.

The 54,000-square-foot building contains student suites as well as study rooms, a lounge, multipurpose space, laundry facilities and bike storage. It is one of three buildings CBC will build at the corner to accommodate students in the future.

Robert Ulrich, RGU Architecture and Planning, is the architect. Fowler Construction is the contractor.

VZ Land/Properties LLC of Kennewick is building a 22-unit town home complex on an undeveloped site north of Sandifur Parkway, near the Mediterranean Villas neighborhood.

The project is valued at $3.3 million, according to Pasco building records.

The project consists of two buildings with eight town homes each and two buildings with three town homes. The buildings will be a single story.

The contractor hasn’t been identified.

CHBA West Pasco Clinic

7405 Three Rivers Drive

Columbia Basin Health Association, which provides all-in-one care in one place, has opened its new clinic in west Pasco after more than a year of construction.

CBHA constructed a two-story, 28,300-square-foot building to serve as a medical and dental clinic as well as laboratory and pharmacy. CBHA serces patients both with and without insurance.

The soaring structure had a construction value of $5. million. It was built by Aldrich + Associates, with design by KDA Architecture.
