| Jeremy Dutton makes a living off of reading other people's stories and designing pages you'll want to look at. He lives in Kennewick and dreams of the day when the TC gets an indie record store to feed his nasty record buying habit. |
If you were as disappointed as I was when the news broke that Rocky Votolato wouldn't be coming to town because 321 Art Space closed down, this will come as good news.
The Seattle singer-songwriter is set to play July 16 in Walla Walla at the Red Eye Bar & Grill. Show time is at 6:30 p.m. and doors open at 5 p.m., but Rick Mugrage, Joe Keown and Derdan Guy will be opening. Tickets are $10 and are available at the bar or at Hot Poop in Walla Walla.
For more information or to reserve a ticket, call 509-529-3355.
If you haven't heard Votolato, he used to be in the punk outfit Waxwing who put out a few albums in the early part the decade. But he's gotten a little softer and took to the acoustic route with two widely lauded albums in Brag and Cuss, and Makers.
And to get a taste of Votolato, you can check out rockyvotolato.com or myspace.com/rockyvotolato. Mark it on your calendar.
