Here's a quick note of thanks to those responsible for repainting the bike lanes in Columbia Park.
I rode my bike to the Herald again on Wednesday -- the past two "hump days" have featured remarkable riding weather -- and noticed a bold application of white paint on the portion of bike lanes just east of Edison Street and near where Kennewick Man was found.
My confidence and speed are slightly increasing, and clearly marking the bike lanes in the park is a big help. It also keeps me on the road and off the path along some of the portions closer to the river.
Now if I could just find a way to delete some weight/item from the Ortlieb panniers on the bike. Between my dress clothes, lunch and laptop, the bike gets a bit heavy.
I don't know that I've ever overtaken another cyclist, however, I don't know how many cyclists that I come across are commuting.
