For the second time in as many weeks, the Central Valley Bears of Spokane traveled to the Tri-Cities to take on - and defeat - a Columbia Basin Big Nine division champion. Last week, it was the Richland Bombers, and on Nov. 15, it was the Southridge Suns, which the Bears dispatched 28-14 at Lampson Stadium in Kennewick.

Defending state champion Prosser ran its winning streak to 25 with a 53-14 victory over visiting CWAC rival Selah in the first round of the Class 2A state football playoffs on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 at Art Fiker Stadium. National record holder Kirby Moore had 12 receptions for 264 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Visiting Mount Spokane won a see-saw battle with Hanford, 42-39, in a regional high school football playoff game Nov. 7, 2008, at Fran Rish Stadium in Richland.

The Richland Bombers used big plays and a big trick play to outpace the visiting Walla Walla Blue Devils on Oct. 23, 2008, at Fran Rish Stadium. The Bombers built a big lead, then held on to win 34-19.

Richland traveled to Lampson Stadium on Oct. 18, 2008, to take on the Kamiakin Braves. Richland took a 28-0 lead into halftime and cruised to a 28-7 victory.

Pasco defeats visiting Walla Walla in thrilling fashion, 31-28. Quarterback Carlin Andrew led the Bulldogs back from an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit by first running for a touchdown, then catching the winning score with less than a minute left. Andrew threw for a touchdown, ran for two touchdown and caught a TD in the victory. Walla Walla's Spencer Hessler scored four touchdowns in the losing effort.
