Charlie Blackmon and Erik Wetzel combined for four hits and three runs in the first two innings as the visiting Tri-City Dust Devils build a 4-0 lead en route to a 6-3 win over the Yakima Bears at County Stadium.
The Bears pulled to within 4-3 in the fifth inning after Greg Bordes' two-out two-run double.
But Jordan Pacheco scored on a fifth-inning wild pitch by Yakima starter Terry Hose (4-5), and Derek Kinzler added an RBI double in the sixth to make it 6-3.
Jonnathan Aristil (3-1) allowed three runs on three hits in five innings for the win, and Carlos Luna picked up his second save with two shutout innings.
