Charles Blackmon and Jordan Pacheco both homered for the first time this season to lead the Tri-City Dust Devils to an 8-4 victory over the Yakima Bears on Tuesday night at Yakima County Stadium.
Blackmon hit a solo home run and Pacheco delivered a two-run shot as Tri-City (30-31) scored three runs in the eighth inning to preserve the victory.
Leonardo Reyes added a two-run double for the Dust Devils to highlight a four-run fourth inning that gave Tri-City a 4-2 lead. The Bears (21-40) tied the game with two runs in the fifth, but Pacheco's sacrifice fly in the sixth gave the Dust Devils the lead for good.
Carlos Luna pitched two-thirds of an inning to pick up the victory, and J.R. Murphy struck out five in two innings of relief to help shut the door.
